Mr. David is in charge of Martin Whitly while inside Claremont Psychiatric Hospital, and has been for his entire time in Claremont. [1]
Season 1[]
After escorting Malcolm Bright him to see his father, he mades a quick phone call to Jessica Whitly warning heard that the father and son were in contact again. [1] [2] Days later, Mr. David escorted Jessica to her ex-husband, finally confronting him for the first time in 20 years. While Mr. David waited outside, the two had a friendly exchange, that quickly turned angry on Mrs. Whitly's part. [3]
Martin is in his room and upon hearing Mr. David open the door, he insists Malcolm shouldn't be there. Only to see his daughter standing before him. She asks for an interview. [4]
Mr. David was on duty while Martin was conducting an interview with his daughter Ainsley. Not long into the interview, they were intercepted with the sounds of alarms as the hospital when into lockdown after a patient stabbed hi therapist. They later found out it was Tevin Standish, only after he stabbed the cameraman Jin, while he was getting some B-footage. Though hesitant, Mr. David and Malcolm agreed to allow Martin to perform a life-saving operation on Jin, giving him a scalpel. [5]
Mr. David is on hand while Martin's family visit him after returning from the hospital. He is also sitting in the other room when his son comes back a couple of days later for their weekly visit. He also interrupts Mr. Whitley's while watching the discovery network with a surprising phone call from his son. [6] He is again on hand when Malcolm arrives for their father-son dinner date of subpar past. [7]
Mr. David escorts Eve Blanchard and Malcolm into visit Martin for the first time, thoroughly explaining the rules, explicitly stating for her not to cross the red line. Only inside for a short time, they have a huge fight, and he escorts them both out. Days later, while still upset, his son and ex-wife are ignoring him. He briefly maniacally laughs to himself. He escorts the young couple back days later, and Martin reveal what appears to be sensitive information. [8] Weeks later he is home sick with an unspecified illness. [9] [10]
